Attention Orrville Parents and Students, Starting Fall 2026, athletic participation will be determined with a new Grade Point Average requirement. The importance to this is that the CURRENT 4TH MARKING PERIOD will be the determining factor (with this new GPA requirement as a guideline) for Fall 2026 Sports. For athletic participation in Orrville City Schools, grades 7-12, there are two required measurements to ensure that academics are a priority for participation. The state requirement set by the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), and the local requirement set by the Board of Education. The new grade point average requirement of Orrville City Schools will be 1.5. New Eligibility Requirements for Orrville Student Athletes: High School - Passing grades in a minimum of five (5), one (1) credit courses, or the equivalent, in the immediate preceding grade period, which count toward graduation, with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 1.5 or Higher on a 4.0 scale.
